Thin Air Magazine stands with Palestine. We believe it is important to use our voice both in the literary community and more broadly to seek justice and peace. We ally ourselves with indigenous groups all over the world in their efforts to seek dignity and self determination. Since October 7th, tens of thousands of innocent civilians have died because of the indiscriminate bombing of the government of Israel, and implicitly the government of the United States of America. These deaths are unacceptable. We are inspired every day by the bravery and humanity we see in Palestine, but it should not be necessary. It’s our time to be brave and human as well. 

In making this statement, we want to be clear: Thin Air Magazine does not stand for any antisemitism or acts of terrorism. We stand with the Jewish community, and we hold absolutely no space for antisemetic rhetoric. We firmly believe that standing with Palestine and standing against antisemitism must be linked. 

Along with verbal support, our staff commits to the following direct actions. We have donated $100 dollars to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. Additionally, from June 1st to August 31st we will be donating all revenue to PCRF. Please join us in supporting Palestine by donating directly to PCRF, or by purchasing from, submitting to, or donating to Thin Air Magazine this summer. 

We believe that Palestine deserves and will know peace. It is our responsibility to add our voice to those who bravely demand that peace now. Once more, and forever:
